Based on 40 years application experence all over the world.Parker design dc drives to help its clients improve productivity and reduce energy consumption. Currently,Parker has designed DC590+ Integrator Series 2 Digital DC Drive.The DC590+ dc drives use an advanced control platform to supply very good flexibility and performance.

 

DC590+ Drives have 590P 4 quadrant regenerative drive and 591P 2 quadrant non-regenerative drive.These two types are all good performance.Their current range from 15A to 2700A.Voltage range from 220V-500V(±10%) 50/60Hz,and 400V-690V(±10%) 50/60Hz option.

Parker SSD DC Drives 514C & 512C

The 514C controller is intended for use in an Industrial Environment, it should be mounted within an enclosure which provides protection to the controller and the user.

The controller should be permanently earthed at the terminals provided.

The 514C controller is designed to control the speed of a DC Shunt wound or permanent magnet motor. It will provide control of the motor speed in all 4 Quadrants of operation.

The controllers are designed to operate from a single phase AC mains supply in the range of 110 Vac to 415 Vac at 50 or 60 Hz. An auxiliary supply is required for internal power supply generation and main supply contactor sequencing. Coding is derived from the main power terminals and is functional over the whole input voltage range.The Speed of the DC Motor is controlled using a linear closed loop system with a feedback signal from either tachogenerator or armature voltage, the feedback source being switch selectable.A current loop within the speed loop always ensures that controlled levels of current are applied to the motor, actual levels being scaleable via programmable switches.Motor protection is provided by a Stall detection circuit which will remove current from the motor after approximately 60 seconds.Controller protection is provided by an Instantaneous Overcurrent trip circuit overriding control in the event of a Short Circuit.

Parker 514C 512C Installation Procedure

INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS

Before connecting AC supplies to this equipment:

1) Ensure good airflow over the heatsink. Maintain clearance of 75mm above and below

controller. For safety maintain a clearance of 20mm at the sides of the controller.

2) Operating temperature range does not exceed 0 to +40.

3) Controller is used in a Pollution Degree 2 environment.

4) Avoid vibration.

 

598P 599P External stack controller dc digital drive

The 598/9P External Stack Controller Assembly provides the Hardware necessary to interface the 590Plus Control Door to an existing 3 Phase Stack assembly. The Design assumes that a Fully Controlled 3 Phase Six Pulse Converter exists which is complete with Thyristor Suppression, Current Feedback, Temperature Monitoring and Suitable Fusing.

The 598/599P External Stack Controller Assembly provides the Hardware necessary to interface the 590Plus Control Door to an existing 3 Phase Stack assembly. The Design assumes that a Fully Controlled 3 Phase Six Pulse Converter exists which is complete with Thyristor Suppression, Current Feedback, Temperature Monitoring and Suitable Fusing.

When upgrading machines equipped with older high power DC drives, the most cost-effective and quickest way is often to reuse the existing SCR power stack, which in most cases will be in perfect working order.

To preserve your investment, Parker SSD Drives has developed a DC598+/DC599+ power stack controller offer specially aimed at retrofit applications and based on the DC590+ controller.

Available in 2 versions, the DC599+ two quadrant nonregenerative and DC598+ four quadrant full-regenerative versions, can be used to drive the power stacks of existing DC drives manufactured by Parker SSD or other manufacturers, delivering the benefits of the recent technological innovations of the DC590+ Series 2 drive.

The DC598+ and DC599+ offer the ability to upgrade your equipment quickly and easily and integrates with your existing control equipment or SCADA package.

The DC598+ and DC599+ retrofit solutions are recommended for currents above 800A.
